From auditions to opening night, a typical theatre production takes about two months to prepare for launch. The original community collaborative plays that PlayBuilders of Hawai'i helps create take more than three years to develop.

One of our upcoming projects is in collaboration with the Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center, Catholic Charities Hawai'i, and Partners in Development on the working title production, "Fostering Ohana," with foster care youth ages 11 to 18 and produced in time for "National Foster Care Awareness Month" in May 2017.
