“Waipahu Project” auditions are being held for a new play currently in the final stages of creation through collaborative efforts of PlayBuilders of Hawai’i Theater Company, The Leeward Theatre, and other organizations such as the Waipahu Community Coalition and Hawaii’s Planation Village. Written by Leeward student Kirstyn Trombetta, commissioned by PlayBuilders and directed by Ashley DeMoville, any and all members of the Waipahu community are encouraged to come and audition as we wish to cast the majority of the roles with people who are from Waipahu or actually live and/or work in the area. There will also be non-acting positions available for those people who would like to volunteer their time in other ways. Production dates will be April 23, 24, 25 on the mainstage of the Leeward Theatre.
Auditions for the Waipahu play will take place on Friday, February 27th 6:30-9:30pm and Sunday, March 1st 6:30-9:30pm on the main-stage of the Leeward Theatre. All are welcome! No experience necessary.
