Winners of The PlayFestival 2016

PlayBuilders of Hawaiʻi Theater Company is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s PlayFestival at Kumu Kahua Theatre, as part of their Dark Night Series! Fourteen plays, written by both youth and adults, were presented at Kumu Kahua Theatre between Sunday, April 3rd and Tuesday, April 5th. The Festival is an annual event that has been organized by PlayBuilders of Hawaiʻi Theater Company over the past 5 years. Deadline Extended for "The PlayFestival"

January 15 was to be the original deadline for PlayBuilders "The PlayFestival" and we do not have enough plays in hand to actually hold a festival. But I am not giving up! This is our 5th annual festival and I am very proud that PlayBuilders hast been able to provide this wonderful opportunity for local playwrights all these years.  So, I am turning to you for help, because you have either participated in our festival in the past or you, in some way, are involved with supporting playwrights in Hawaiʻi.

Submissions for PlayBuilders 5th Annual Festival of Original Plays Are Now Open!

PlayBuilders of Hawai’i is now accepting, half an hour or less, one-act plays for its fifth Annual Festival of Original Plays. Newly established as “The PlayFestival,” this year’s festival will feature short one act plays focusing on the geographic place where playwrights live or work and will be held Thursday nights in March of 2016, at the ARTS at Marks Garage.
